9th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development (ICEIRD 2016)

Representatives from the International Faculty, CITY College and its research centre, SEERC, attended, moderated and delivered presentations at the 9th International Conference for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development - ICEIRD (23-24 June 2016, Bucharest, Romania). The 9th ICEIRD which was originally founded by CITY College was organized by its academic partner in Bucharest, the National University of Political Science and Public Administration (SNSPA).

ICEIRD aims to bring together academics, researchers and entrepreneurs to discuss the perspectives of responsible development of small and medium -sized enterprises in a dynamic environment. The mission of ICEIRD is to support regional development, especially considering South East Europe, by providing a multi-disciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and policy makers in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and regional development. The 2016 edition debated the complex relationship between entrepreneurship and responsibility, from a wide range of perspectives: economic, social, environmental, organisational, technological, competitiveness. Networking opportunities are offered during various activities proposed tot he participants. This year's event met a great success by combining a wide number of quality papers (presentations), workshops and sessions.

Next year, ICEIRD will celebrate its decade of building capacity and regional development and an innovative concept of hte event is currently being prepared. Responsible Entrepreneurship. Vision, Development and Ethics
June 23-24, 2016 - Bucharest, Romania

In recent years, we have witnessed an explosion of the entrepreneurial sector, all over the world. Understanding the complex evolution in this domain requires an interdisciplinary approach, as well as cooperation between academics, researchers, professionals, and public actors. The 9th edition of the International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Regional Development to be held in Bucharest, Romania, aims at creating a network of specialists and stakeholders interested in the latest evolutions in the entrepreneurial sector. The topics proposed for discussions encompass a wide area from investigating the trends in the field, to identifying effective tactics for sustainable development of entrepreneurial endeavours.
